A new programme has been added to your week at
Haliburton Scout Reserve
…And it will have you climbing the walls!
| Opened in the summer of 2003, the newest
addition to a fun filled week at HSR will include the newly constructed
Climbing Wall. Located near the Archery Range, high atop a crest in the
hills over Kennabi Lake, this 30 foot wall will offer the challenge of
making it to the top using the colourful hand holds which have been
strategically placed for maximum challenge. For the more experienced
there is "The Overhang". An obstacle has been placed in the
way and you must get past it to "Reach for the Top". Once at
the top, you will have a wonderful view of the pristine waters of
Kennabi Lake. Campers wear safety harnesses, a helmet, and are
constantly attached to a safety line controlled by the qualified
instructor. |
